We therefore invest a lot of energy in research and development.
We are currently developing a physical and software prototype of a leak tightness test in combination with, and integrated into, our (automotive and aerospace) checking fixtures and in the sensor application GPI (GeTech Product Inspect).
Tubes for the automotive industry (e.g. air conditioning tubes, cooling tubes, oil pipes) are checked on various aspects; geometry, leak tightness and completeness of all components. We currently design and manufacture check fixtures that are used worldwide to accurately check tubes for geometry (and not leaks). This way, errors in automotive parts are detected and adjusted in a timely manner, thus preventing drastic measures such as recalls. In the recent past we have developed a sensor application that checks whether all parts are assembled on the tube. However, checking the leak tightness of the pipes is still carried out with a separate step in the production process and is completely in the hands of the producer of the tube. GeTech wants to combine the two checking steps by developing a leaktest that can be integrated into the checking fixtures.
